THREE’S A CHARM
During a late night web crawling session I found out that someone have reverse engineered (very much like I did) the Afternow Script. This was, as I’ve said before, the first attempt of a script that I ever made. It is also the one script I’ve done that have generated the most requests. Since Scriptographer is dead now I figure it couldn’t harm to link to it now, hope you don’t mind Jürg. The code is here and below are images of the three variations.
First out is the original Afternow.
Followed by my own version.
And lastly the one I found tonight.

Are you going to share yours as well?
Thanks!

Well, I thought about it but I’ve decided against it for two reasons.
First, my version suffers from the fact that it was my first attempt at scripting and is therefore neither well written nor is it very stable.
The second reason is that this script (haven’t tried it myself yet) seem to be more than enough to create the desired effect.
But should the demand for it be high enough I might reconsider, though. I myself however, see no reason for doing so.
PS. I just installed a comment notifier. By default it is set to subscribe replies. This option wasn’t available while you wrote your comment. If you don’t want any further notifications I’ll remove your e-mail from the list.

Hello,
Scriptographer may be dead and burried but it will still be my main choice when it comes to creative tools. Since I’m not very good at drawing or any of that HTML-stuff but enjoy graphic design and (genrative/natural) art in such a high degree, I’m so happy to be able to get my creative outlet this way.
I have, for a long time, been wanting to re-work my Tile Toy script. It was the third (or was it the fourth) script I ever wrote, learning javascript and Scriptographer along the way. As a result there is a LOT of things that could benefit from a total overhaul, the script is slow and not very memory efficient. It would be fun though to sit down and figure out how to improve it, it’s just a matter of spare time as there are other projects in my mind right now… If I do get on it you’ll be the first to know.
Have a nice day and I hope to see your Sg-work in the future!
