This is actually a little bit old. I have already posted its sourcecode in my code repository but this is an improved version with a GUI rather than just code. As I’ve said before, I’m not very pleased with how Illustrator handles the Radial Grid Tool, it is just a bunch of concentric circles and a few lines radiating outwards. My script makes ALL the cells as individual object and grouped along ‘level-wise’ with proper naming to cells and rings.

The other advantage is that, if one is inclined, one could make a grid that has a variable number of cells per ring.
